Our School

Principal’s Message

At James Cook Primary School we feel privileged to have your child at our school and we know it will be a rewarding experience for them. We realise the responsibility we share with you in helping your child grow and develop into an informed and active global citizen.

Here children, staff and families work together to create a harmonious environment. Our focus is in developing the whole student through academic and social programs equipping them with the tools to interact successfully within society.

We fully embrace our school motto, “Believe to Succeed,” as we believe that all children can, and will, achieve to their fullest potential.

James Cook Primary School

At James Cook Primary School we ensure a rich and engaging curriculum in an environment where our students are excited to learn. Our flexible learning spaces are designed to facilitate positive interactions and provide opportunities to work collaboratively. We differentiate our approach to teaching and learning. Each learning area has open spaces for group learning, quiet spaces for independent tasks and break out spaces for small group work.

Specialist classes are provided in Physical Education, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Science, Information and Communication Technologies and Mandarin Chinese.

Thank you for taking the time to read a little more about us. If you would like to visit us, we offer tours of our school to see us at work. We typically run our tours on Tuesday morning and more information is available when you contact the office during the school term between 8:30a.m. and 4:00p.m.
